The mother of all festivals, Diwali has no religion. Celebrated by Indians across the globe this festival of lights spells gaiety, fun and loads of masti.

Diwali commemorates Lord Rama's return to his kingdom Ayodhya after completing his 14-year exile.

On the eve of this wonderful festival our favourite celebs share their Diwali plans with Tellychakkar Team.

Jaya Bhattacharya
I'll be busy shooting for my daily show the whole day and will not be doing anything special. However, I'll be attending a small lakshmi puja organized at my home. It will be more of a family affair.

I hate bursting crackers and haven't done it since the past 12 years. It's because I don't like noise pollution. I respect the government's decision of not allowing people to burst crackers late night.

This year, Diwali is very special for me as my brother is coming all the way from the States. It will be real fun as I have organized a card party a night before Diwali. I will be helping my wife (Manini) in decorating our house with diyas and lights as my daughter loves it.

I spent thousands in buying different bombs and rockets. I think the government should allow people to burst crackers the whole night as this is the only day we do so.

The first thing I do after getting up in the morning is making a big rangoli outside my house. My kids help me in this. Then I make some sweets at home with the help of my maid, who makes yummy food. I shop a lot during Diwali. I get nice 'glittery' clothes for my kids. Later in the night, I get together with friends and enjoy a nice dinner at home.

No crackers for me and my kids at all. We do get phuljhadis but no bombs as they create lot of noise pollution.

This Diwali will not be much different from my early Diwalis. I'll decorate my house with diyas and help my wife preparing sweets for guests. After the puja we are planning to go for a long drive with my brother Rajev and his wife Delnaaz.

I love bursting crackers but this year I have promised my wife that I will not do so as she doesn't like the pollution created by them.

Yuvraj Malhotra:
This year I値l be celebrating Diwali with my parents at my home town Delhi. Since the past two years I was unable to celebrate this fest with my family and hence this time I知 really very excited. Being a homely guy I like to stay at home and do all the poojas. I love fireworks and this year I have spent 20 grand on crackers.

Vikram Acharya:
I値l be spending time with my family and my dog. And we値l be visiting some relatives and friends also. As I知 foodie I値l be binging on all kinds of sweets.
