As Mamta is all set to wind up, Jay Mehta's upcoming show Ardhangini is ready to take over the empty time slot. The love story has rolled in Ajay Krissh of Mamta fame and Sudeepa of Kabhi To Nazar Milao fame as lead actors.

"It's a big project and will be represented in a grand way. As the story revolves around two Bengali families, I've instructed my set designer to create a magnificent set and our costume designer too will design beautiful Bengali sarees and sherwanis for the actors. We're trying to recreate the magic of Sanjay Leela Bansali's Devdas. However, the story is completely different from the film. Ajay and Sudeepa will give their best shot in the show," says Jai Mehta.

He further elaborates the storyline, "It's a love story of Kangana (Sudeepa) and Priyam (Ajay Krissh). It strongly portrays the power of women in Indian families. A woman, in the real sense, is the better half or Ardhangini of man. Through this show, I want to spread a message that there's a woman behind every successful man," explains Mehta.

Sudeepa has this to say, "I'm playing Kangana, who's completely opposite of Sunaina from Kabhi… Sunaina was an extrovert whereas Kangana is an introvert and a happy go lucky girl. I'm excited, as I will get to play myself in the show."

Where were you after Kabhi Toh…? She adds, "I was busy doing music videos and ads. I have just completed my graduation and visited my hometown."
