The sets of Hamari Devrani have been the centre-stage of unfortunate incidents and divine intervention of late. Vikram Ghai, director of the show was shooting a dance sequence featuring the lead character Bhakti (Krishna Gokani). While she was dancing Vikram stood atop a swing to take some impressive shots when he lost his balance and tripped. What followed was a chain reaction of props falling and finally leading to a cutter stand almost falling on the director, but he already had dived at the other end to save the camera from being destroyed and saved himself from being injured.

Well if this was not enough in another instance, while Manjula (Urvashi) and Alpa (Bhumi) were readying themselves in the make-up room a wooden beam inside the toilet fell all of a sudden sending the two of them in shock…Minutes before Alpa (Bhumi) had been inside the toilet. Alpa (Bhumi) thanked Laddoo Gopal (Lord Krishna) for this miraculous escape.

Interestingly, in the upcoming Rakhi sequence, the five jethanis (sister-in-laws) misplace the Laddoo Gopal (Lord Krishna’s idol), to prevent Bhakti from tying rakhi to him.

The cast and crew seem to find a connection between the reel and real and have therefore arranged for a puja to appease the Gods and forgive them of their ill practices on-screen of course
