who is currently seen in Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi is a believer
of occult science. The actor’s career has just taken off and within a short spam
of time he is getting noticed. He feels it is his karma that has gained
him such fame. We called up Abhimaan to know more about his career
and his belief in karma. Tell us something about your
role in Radha
Ki Betiyaan. I
play the role of Aditya who is a rich young guy. He is a spoilt brat and very
arrogant. Adi is a complete reflection of one who is inspired by western culture
but still at heart he is very Indian. I’m enjoying my stint in the show. What
about your show on Zee next? In Jhoome
Jiya Re I play a negative character called Samar Pratap Singh.
The best part of his character is that he does evil but with a smile. It’s an
interesting role to essay. Did you always want to be in this
industry? I had never planned anything. I was in college where I started
with some modelling and later walked the ramp. One thing led to the other and
I just went with the flow by choosing the right path. How
do you manage to do both the shows? It’s hectic but I have to. In the morning
I’m a bad guy and in the evening it’s vice versa. Sometimes it’s difficult to
switch from one character to another. It’s like a big challenge and I love it.
Now I’m getting used to it. Do you think audiences will accept
you in both the extreme roles? I don’t think there should be any problem.
Shah Rukh Khan has also started his career the same way and today he has achieved
great heights. I’m also doing the same. It’s my destiny to do the same and I love
it. Do you believe in karma? I believe in creating
my own karma. I also believe in numerology and astrology. Every weekend
I read my horoscope in the papers. Have you have used numerology
to change your name? Earlier my name was Ajay Balhara then my numerologist
suggested two names, Abhimaan and Abhimanyu. I decided to go for the first one
as it was the name of a Big B film which initially flopped but later became a
big hit.
