Both her acting and dancing skills are known to TV audiences. Her last dancing stint on Nach Baliye put her in the top bracket with her beau Aamir Ali after they won the crown. Sanjeeda is once again seen dancing on Saroj Khan's Nachle Ve. Recently the petite Sanjeeda was over the moon when she recieved a Natraj statuette from Saroj Khan in appreciatition of her dancing skills.

We caught up with Sanjeeda on her passion for dancing, the award, her dreams and her future plans

What was it like getting the award from Saroj Khan?

Sarojji awarded me the Natraj for the best dancer and receiving it from her is overwhelming. Everyone knows that she is the best and is unbiased in her approach. This came as a very pleasant surprise to me. If I weren't an actor today, I would have been a choreographer for sure.

It was my dream to get a reward from Saroj Khan and today I feel I have achieved my dream.

So is there any possibility of doing any more dance based reality shows?

That I really can't predict now. After Nach Baliye I need to think before taking up any reality show. I have been getting lots of offers for such reality shows but nothing is matching upto Nach Baliye.

If I take any other reality show it has to be like the one I did or better than that.

Any plans of opening a dance academy?

Well definitely I dream of having my own dance academy but not now. I was a dance teacher and used to conduct dance classes. Though initially I never thought of having my own academy but now definitely this is one of my dreams.

Is there any dance form you wish to learn?

Well there are many like Salsa and Kathtak but now it’s not possible. I’m doing a daily and with that I also perform all over India and abroad with Aamir which leaves me with very little time to concentrate on any dance form.

Which is your favourite dance form?

I like the Bollywood dance form. It’s very exciting and experimental. I love to perform on Bollywood dance numbers.

Weak point in dancing- None

Strong point in dancing- My happy face is the strongest point in my dancing.

Is there any Bollywood offer?

I keep getting offers for item numbers but for now I’m not so keen on that. Talking about films… well I am waiting for an interesting offer to come my way.

I’m happy doing television and my shows with Aamir for now. If I sign on anything in Bollywood then I will let you know
