| After
Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, Raveena Tandon and Isha Koppikar, making their
debut on television as judge or host in reality shows, it’s the turn of yet another
bombshell to join the bandwagon. With Sony and Balaji’s new reality show Kabhii
Kabhii Pyaar,Kabhii Kabhii Yaar , Sameera Reddy joins the gang.
The gorgeous Sameera is excited about her new career and in a freewheeling
chat pours her heart out about thea show and her stint as judge. What
made you take up this up when you have targeted the big screen?
Well
I feel today television is as big as Bollywood. When I first saw Amitabh Bachchan
on television it was quite interesting. Then came Shah Rukh Khan, Salman and recently
Akshay Kumar has also made his way to the small screen. Therefore I too thought
of giving it a try. You can say that I just followed them. What
attracted you the most to K2P K2Y? I basically wanted to judge the children
on a dance based reality show. I just love kids and seeing them dancing make me
feel happy. When I heard this concept I just loved it as K2P K2Y seems to be more
dramatic than movies too. Thus I went ahead with the show. What
aspects will you concentrate on? My job is to look at the presentation
of the contestants. We have completed the shoot of the first two episode and presentation
wise the contestants were ok. I still think they need help when it comes to dressing.
I have been tender with my comments but now I have to be little strict. I have
already started the grooming session with some girls on their attire and presentation.
How will you deal with the ‘melodrama’ on reality shows? When
there are clashes of opinion you can see the sparks fly. I’ll definitely reason
out why the judges commented in that particular manner. To be frank I’m very emotional
and things like this will keep occurring. That is why I’m a little scared. I know
if I feel bad I’m going to cry. As an actor how difficult it
is to take criticism? It’s difficult but for me it depends on the situation.
Being in this glamorous world not everybody will like you. If I get compliments
for my work it makes me feel good. There may be some who may not like me so these
things keep happening. For me only the opinions of my fans, family and close
people matters most. Would you ever like your child to participate
in a reality show? If you ask me whether I would permit
my child to participate in such shows then it’s a big no and the reason is the
tremendous stress. At my age I can feel so much of stress sitting
on the other side. It’s going to be hard for me if I have to announce the eliminations.
My life is also stressful so how can I let my small kid live such a life?
After K2P K2Y will you be seen again on television? As of
yet I have not yet decided. I’m an emotional person and thus little scared about
being carried away. You can say that I took up this show as an experiment and
to see whether I fit in or not. Let time decide whether I’ll do any other reality
show or not. For now my priority and commitment is Kabhii
Kabhii Pyaar,Kabhii Kabhii Yaar
